"Choosing to See"

A few months ago I asked for book suggestions on my blog. I love to read, so I'm always looking for good books to read. One of my readers suggested a book called Choosing to See. I looked it up online so that I could read a synopsis/reviews of the book, and I decided to buy it since I liked what I read online.

The book is a true story written by Mary Beth Chapman and it's about how she and her family coped when her son accidentally runs over his five-year-old little sister in the driveway, killing her. The story definitely has its sad parts considering what happened, but it's also uplifting at the same time as you read how much faith this family has and how they are able to get through such a terrible event.

True stories are right up my mom’s alley, so I thought it would be a good one for us to read together. (I can't hold books, and propping them up/turning the pages is difficult, so I like to either listen to audio books or have people read to me.) We started the book just over a week ago and we were sucked in right away. We read several chapters a day, and finished the book last night. We both loved it!

I definitely recommend this book to everyone, especially for people who love true, uplifting and inspiring stories. Click here to see a short video about Mary Beth Chapman and her incredible story.

I just placed a hold on it at the library! I looks like I will need some tissues for it though!

Sounds wonderful. You should also read Hard Times and Holy Places by Kristin Belcher. It is fantastic.

This book sounds really good! I saw it in a bookstore one day and thought about buying it, but I didn't.

I wonder...would you be able to use a nook or a kindle? It may make it easier on you to read. The way you turn the pages is by tapping the screen...but I wonder if they could make it voice activated like the computer you are using now? Either way, you can download audio books onto the Nook at any time. You program your debit/credit card into the Nook beforehand and then you just click on the book you want to buy and it is downloaded onto your Nook instantly! I thought I would share that with you :)
